Cynthia L. Years ago, church bells used to alert citizens about important events. However, in the mid-1830s, the sleepy village of Marietta had something much more personal.
Each morning as dawn hovered on the horizon, merchant James B. Waller woke everyone with his "sunrise roster." He’d step onto his front porch, call each person’s name, and add witty comments that were always fitting. With a smile or a chuckle, people would repeat bits of Waller’s morning announcement long afterward.
I love that picture because a great story works just like that. A novel offers a chance to take a break from your usual routine and step into another world.
This week, my kitty editor, Captain Wentworth, would like to announce that my novel, Moment in Time, officially launches! He has gone over the entire manuscript and gives his enthusiastic seal of approval to the kitty detective.
We are throwing open the doors to 1867 Marietta, and I’d love for you to join us! 📖✨
