I was on a Heinlein tear a little over 10 years ago, I think, when I found out there were SO many of his that I’d missed, mainly from the Lazarus Long & Family series. Really interesting plugging in stories from the 40’s and 50’s into modern terms and perspectives. I especially liked The Number of the Beast and The Cat Who Walks Through Walls. A lot of nostalgic looks at like in the Gay 90’s and after, which I always took as a (mostly) loving recollection of his growing up years.
I read 4 Heinleins back in high school. I wanted to write a report on Asimov but my English teacher gave that author to someone else, so I settled for Heinlein. At the time I hadn't read either but thought it would be a good excuse to read some if I had to write a report on them. It was a fun sampling of his works, even though it wasn't necessary to actually read his novels for the report; I did anyway for fun! I didn't read them in any kind of order or even knew there was any kind of order. To Sail Beyond the Sunset kind of scarred me I think. https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
