So, I’m a dummy and did not do ARCs for my debut novel. And now, while I have readers, what I don’t have is readers who review.

While it has heavy dark romance influence (who did this to you, touch her and die, etc), Ignite the Flame is not everything you’ll expect from that label. It explores and blends elements of other genres and is technically a pitch-black dark romantasy.
What you’ll find is prolonged captivity set in a modern world of elemental power. Not like fire and ice, but real-world chemical elements which gives it a “contemporary science fantasy” edge.
You’ll find no instant obsession, rapid trope delivery, or emotional devastation here. It’s a story of moral descent, irredeemable villains, and gradual character transformations.
This book isn’t a story about the MCs falling in love. It’s about the hell that rains down on them the moment they do.
If excessive SA and violence are triggering for you, this is definitely not the book for you. Think if Red Rabbit and Hunting Adeline had a threeway with contemporary science fantasy.
