Paula Cappa Quiet horror is the art of psychological fear where the readers' imaginations and feelings amplify their own dread.

If you are a fan of quiet horror, stop by my Reading Fiction Blog.

This week's blog post has lots of book recommendations and authors in the quiet horror genre. And it's an exciting subgenre that is trending again!

Thanks for the post. I read the blog and picked up one of Charles Grant's short story collections. I also grabbed your free short story on Amazon. Looking forward to reading it tonight.

Char I saw your blog yesterday, Paula! I enjoyed the hell out of Charles Grant stories back in the day. I haven't even thought of him in a few years now.
Thanks to you, I picked up The Pet and I'm going to dig through my shelves and pick out the Grant's I have but haven't read yet.

Bethan I hadn't heard of this subgenre before. It's definitely up my alley!

Only book I've read that immediately springs to mind as fitting this is Letters to the Damned. I love the subtlety and will look for more books that fit this.

Is there a listopia for it?
