message 3: by Monica (new)

Monica Yep I noticed the same thing, and got instantly bored as soon as I realized it

message 4: by Laura (new)

Laura Everly So much recycled material.

message 5: by Rosy (new)

Rosy Maybe it’s not that cozy fantasy “isn’t for you.” It’s the book, not you

message 6: by Ang (new)

Ang Williams Thank you! I enjoyed the first one and I had to dnf this one “for now” because I’m bored to tears. It’s the same book, just a different setting. And Caz is better than Lottie in my opinion.

Kendall @Angela Caz forever!!!

message 8: by Mandy (new)

Mandy I have to agree and I’ll add that I can’t stand the FMC. 250 pages on and she’s still as boring, weak and spineless as she was on page 1. Furthermore, the book lacks meaningful dialogue to carry the story along. It’s slow. I was STOKED to read this book. I love Durst’s imagination for the spectacular — winged cats(!), tasty treats, beautiful plants, but unfortunately, pretty isn’t enough to make a great story.

Nikki Totally agree with all your comments - especially enjoying the first book more!

Taylor Jade Definitely the book

Theo M OMG. Thats what I wrote in my review!!!

message 12: by Reading&Drinking (new)

Reading&Drinking I was bored too. DNF @25%

message 13: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer I was also bored, although I finished the whole thing.

message 14: by Dianne (new)

Dianne Sunshine I was annoyed by how bored I was getting, especially since it was recommended! And had to force myself to finish.

message 15: by Christina (new)

Christina Holderman I felt exactly the same way. I listened to the audio book and ended up skipping about 6 hours of it and still feel like I got the gist of the story. It was not an enjoyable read.

message 16: by Katie (new)

Katie A. I am glad I am not the only one. I had high hopes for this but I am on page 225 and I may dnf

message 17: by Kiley (new)

Kiley Kellermeyer I made myself finish it in audio on 1.25x speed. Copy and paste of the first book for sure.
