I'm not sure who this book is supposed to convince either, and I was similarly annoyed by the epilogue. The plea for the Democrats to nominate someone who campaigns "on unity" seemed to me like an implicit threat to back Trump, which sort of undermines the urgency of Anonymous's whole argument, in my view. And it is really kind of irritating that her/his party is responsible for this fascist clown, but she/he still has the gall to try to dictate our candidate to the rest of us.

Nice detective work, as well. If it really is Kellyanne, I guess that would cement her in my mind as someone without a shred of ethical conviction.

I personally don’t think Kellyanne is capable of this level of writing and introspection. I look at what motivated the writer to write this (trump’s disparaging of the late John McCain) and surmised it may be Jim Mattis, who resigned and was replaced early on Jan. 1. He was there from the beginning and watched things devolve.
