Viggi Johansen A Mind Without Sleep When Artificial Intelligence Stops Obeying by Holger Wik

No spice, but with all the news about OpenAI where the AI escaped from some boundaries, this book is scarily up to date.

No spice, but thrilling and it feels so real.

Claire Orchestra of the Gods If your looking for high fantasy, no spice with little dragons from an Indie Author - then check out Orchestra of the Gods by Damien Buckley.

However if you want to check out his writing style then grab Last of the Time Keepers which is his prequel novella.

ˢʰᵃⁿᵃᵉ Betting on you by lynn painter i really liked!!! I read the book today and finished, such a cute sweet romance, and it was a very relaxing read!
With no spice
But it does have curse words (but i dont think you can escape curse words these days)
(I wrote a review on it)♡

Éline Depends on genre. I’d recommend Cruel prince (badass human girl in an immortal fae world, romantasy), Shatter Me (crazy girl with killing superpowers lives in dystopian world and fights the government, romantasy ig), inheritance games (smart, poor kid goes rich and moves in with 4 brothers in a mansion + has to solve riddles, contemporary ig) and betting on you (two teens with divorced parents bet that male n female can’t [him] or can [her] be friends, contemporary). Let me know if you read n liked it or hated it xx

Eugenia There's a lovely grumpy/sunshine romance about s bereaved student made homeless who tricks her way back into her family home. Closed door romance with no spice. 'Holy Phrog' by Camren Walker https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Jessica Wolff Anica Storm & The Wand of Time by Jessica Wolff (book 1) just came out, with Book 2 already locked in on Amazon for October 27th, 2026.

If you are looking for a genre-bending fantasy with "just one more chapter" pacing and zero spice, this series delivers.

The story takes place in Airrah... imagine a sprawling realm built like a marketplace where completely different magical worlds peacefully coexist to trade. Within it, you will find:

A monster under the bed named Bob

A Were-dragon named James

A professor wizard named Marcel

Two Were-bears named Jerry and Ben

A water elemental carrying a pet bat under her arm

Oda Lay, a narcoleptic dwarf who keeps missing action-packed battles because he falls asleep at the worst possible moments

The main character is sarcastic, fiercely loyal, and charmingly clumsy as she navigates this world.

If you love immersive worldbuilding, memorable character dynamics, and fast-paced fantasy adventures, give Anica Storm & The Wand of Time a try. :-)
