It's astute of you to read the clues and come to the conclusion that the series is reaching a finale, Bill. No guesswork from you! I have never read a Morse nor a Rebus. My crime reading stalled my teens after dear old Agatha.
😂 I only wanted to read one of them, but found a cheap box set of the collection. It's easy reading, especially when the heat is frying my brain. I like Rebus, but always preferred US private eye - especially Chandler and Macdonald.
