Now that time has passed, I reread me review and was annoyed all over again. I do still think there was merit in the "previous jobs" part of the book. But that does not make up for the rest. Have ye read any Culture books? What brought ye to me review?

Brian Neurauter This review is spot on. I have enjoyed the other Culture books (in fact, Excession is my favorite sci-fi book of all time) but UoW actually made me livid, for exactly all the points outlined in this review. It is the one Culture book I will never read again.

Riley O'Connor I was struggling to get into this book and your review assisted in my DNF. Avast! Thanks Captain.
