Hi Jasmine. I loved researching Angelina. I learned so much about the midwives of the day. Not only did they transition and lay out the dead and dying, but if the priest couldn't make it in time, they took the last confessions too. Imagine the burden of hearing criminals' confessions. What would a woman do if she had to hold dark knowledge that threatened her life? This is historical fiction with a twist. What a woman!
