I suspect you'd love "A Boy Worth Knowing," too. It had very similar humor and the ghosts were a hoot. : )

I'm reading "Winter Oranges". I bought this one a while back and held off reading it for some reason. I wish I could call in sick and finish it on this sitting.

Oh, when I saw Marie Sexton at GRL 2015, here in San Diego, I gushed all over her about Winter Oranges. So damn good. : )
(How he 'carried' flavors into the globe was pretty damned ingenious.)

I contacted the author of "A Boy Worth Knowing" as soon as I finished it to say how much I enjoyed the book.
She said she has more stories in the works, but nothing close enough to comment on yet. Yaaaaay! : )

Thanks! I love Mike's voice! I also discovered from SJ Goslee's author bio that she writes Teen Wolf fanfic. I did a quick check and I've actually read some of them before. It's kinda cool.

Great review and I totally agree that most of what Mike really feels is in the internal dialogue. I kept thinking a first person narrative might have worked better
