Oof. Gilded was only a 3 for me and I'd been tossing up whether to read this one... Sounds like it did not improve on the things that I didn't enjoy in the first one (mainly that I didn't find the characters or the plot interesting enough to carry 500+ pages).

I would give this one a miss and move onto something else. I didn't love her Bluebeard retelling but it was at least readable and easy to finish. I think Meyer has sadly lost the Cinder-era magic.
