John Steel Jeremy I appreciate your review. As an experienced reporter who has been present at many major international events in real life, I would be interested to know how realistic you found my fictional scenarios to be, and the politicians in particular.

Jeremy Thompson John, I thought the book was a cracking good read and largely very plausible in the madcap world we currently live in. I just wondered how feasible it might be for a couple of senior civil servants to really have such an influence on a PM, to the exclusion of his Cabinet. The idea of a UK government launching an unmanned sub to disrupt the refugee rat-run & a French government sanctioning the a plan to press gang risky migrants into the Foreign Legion seemed a little far-fetched. But you never know how desperate our politicians might get in the near future!
