Your review has me laughing "shy younger sister of the later ones" because you are 100% correct. This was just meant to be a novella for a charity anthology, not a series, but once I built the world, I didn't want to leave it. Blinded Me with Science is next and steps out a bit more, but really the train starts gaining speed at Hot and Cold and onward ;) Thanks!
