Hello and thanks for reading Teigan! I wouldn't normally respond on Goodreads, but I want to get it out there that this is an intentionally nonlinear time novel. I did my masters on nonlinear storytelling at UWashington and when I started writing the novel I was steeped in experimental writing. The story is intended to be read like layered pieces of tracing paper with parts of the story coming together like an image slowly appearing. I've always loved a puzzle myself, so it was deeply intentional that I wrote it in the order that I did. Parts from the different storylines are intended to echo and connect through metonymy and synechdoche, imagery and themes, eventually becoming one unified story as they do so. It is a meditation on how stories repeat and echo one another through the ages.
