Have you read any Don Delillo? I started White Noise and really like it so far. Thinking if you like Denis Johnson, this is good companion.

My better half is a big fan and has been trying to get me to read Libra for years. I did watch the White Noise movie, which I know isn't the same, but didn't take to it. But now enough years have passed that I can safely crack that one open too, I think.
I remember not liking the movie as well, but honestly can't remember much about it. So far I don't feel any connection between the two. So far there hasn't been much "story", but the writing style is hitting the spot.
