Lynn Helton The list below contains indie/SP books seeking reads & reviews. Pick a book & enjoy!

Who can participate?
1. Authors missing a review from elsewhere in this group.
How? Add a message with your book & details of the review round or chain from this group that you were in. (This will be checked - anyone attempting to game the system risks removal from the group.) A Moderator will add your book to the list below for others to review. You don't have to review anyone else here (before or after your book is added to the list).
2. Authors wanting their book included on the list.
How? If you're not missing a review & just want to have your book added to the list for others to review, you need to review a book from the list first. Follow the directions below under "How It Works", & note that your book to be added to the list must be written in English, or you must be able to provide an English translation to be reviewed.
3. Readers.
How? Just pick a book! Readers, you are very welcome to read & review books from this list. You don't have to submit a book yourself.
How It Works
1. Read this entire message first.

2. If you previously read & rated an author's book 1 or 2 stars twice (or more times), don't read & review another book by the same author through this list. Choose a different author instead.

3. Get & read a book from the list. You may request a review copy from the author by posting that request in this topic. Authors aren't required to provide review copies, & if they can't/don't, you might need to buy the book or read it via KU (if available). While authors might be able to provide files in a variety of formats, they must at least be able to provide a PDF file & you must be able to accept at least PDF files.
If the author can provide a review copy, then you & the author will coordinate with a Mod, who will provide the link to the form to use to share your contact information. The Mod will help with the information & review copy exchange. (See Getting a review copy.) To avoid the chance of scammers getting your information, don't post your email in the topic - it's an open forum.
4. Review the book in two places: here on GR, plus one other site - reviewer's choice (such as BookBub, LibraryThing, TheStoryGraph, Readers' Favorite, Smashwords, Kobo, Audible, Amazon, B&N, IG, X/Twitter, FB etc.). Whatever the star rating, provide unbiased, honest & meaningful reviews. No one-line reviews please. And avoid "spoilers", i.e. giving away the finale of a book or significant plot points. Non-reciprocal reviewing applies.
When posting a review to places like IG, X/Twitter, etc., review in a new post on your own account. Don't go to the author's account & paste your review as a comment on one of their posts - that comment's too easily lost.
5. Reply to this topic with links to both your reviews in the same post. Also please post the number that’s beside the book on the list (helps the Mod find it). A Mod will remove the book you’ve reviewed from the list (or decrease the book’s credits by 1 (see below)).
For more information, also see Reviewing in RWR Club & Questions about the Book List & Book List Reviews.

As an author, to have your book added to the list, include your GR book link in the same message as your review links. Also disclose use or non-use of generative AI for your book's interior content. (Similar to Amazon's requirement.)
If AI was used to create the actual content of your book, that use has to be transparent. AI-generated content to disclose is the interior text, images/artwork, or translations created by an AI-based tool. Some example statements:
"I used {AI-based tool name} to generate content for my book."
OR
"I used {AI-based tool name} to generate interior artwork for my book."
OR
"I used {AI-based tool name} to generate the English translation of my book's text."
OR
"I didn't use generative AI in the creation of this book. I created all content myself."
In contrast, AI-assisted tools or processes don't need to be disclosed. These include AI-based tools used to help with editing, refining, error-checking or improving the content in other ways, or to help brainstorm & generate ideas, but you actually create the text or images yourself.
Your book is added to the end of the list & stays on the list until it receives a review (or the number of reviews for which it's eligible (see below)). If the book you’re reviewing has already been removed from the list when you come to post your review don't worry, your review still results in your own book being added to the list.
You can participate as often as you like, but for multiple reviews, please look into joining the Read/Review Rounds & Chains.

Only 1 book per author is featured on the list at any given time. But you may request a note be placed next to your book that says “or any in this series” or “or any by this author”. You may also request a different book of yours be featured at any time.

Regarding Credits:
Some books have “x” followed by a number. That's how many credits a book has, if more than 1 (how many reviews it receives before being cycled off the list).

As an author, for each book you review, your book on the list gets 1 credit. But, if you read & review a book from the first 5 in the list, your book gets 2 credits from reviewing that single book.

After a book with multiple review credits receives a review, it's cycled to the end of the list so other books can move up & have the chance to gain the benefit of being in the first 5.
NOTE: In the Goodreads App, the list of books might display incorrectly (you might not see all of the books). The list should display correctly through a web browser on a phone & on a desktop/laptop.

Also, Goodreads notifications aren't reliable, so check back periodically, to avoid missing out on posts here.

Kat Just to clarify, for this list do reviews have to be posted to both Goodreads and Amazon, or can they be posted to just Goodreads and an additional site?

Either way is good.
From the fifth paragraph under the "How Book List Reviews work" heading above in message 1:
When you’ve completed your review, please post it to both Goodreads and Amazon (unless there’s a note beside the book requesting otherwise).

(Edited to reflect the updated rules in message 1 above. -Lynn)

Ann, I wasn't saying you needed to... I'm perfectly okay with a lovely GR review. :) I was more wondering because the rules look like everyone needs to post to Amz (unless maybe in my headache-y state I am reading them wrong) but if it's actually okay to post on Goodreads and some other sites like Bookbub, IG, Barnes and Noble, Library Thing, Kobo, etc, then I would be able to participate. So I was trying to clarify. Either way, I will follow the rules and participate where I can.

And thank you for the lovely review, by the way :)

Ah, good point, Kat. That was my intention - so I've corrected the wording in message 1 to make it clearer.

Yes, at the moment there are just a few books here. The group is still pretty new so we don't have tons of members and their books yet.

You might want to take a look at the Read/Review Rounds in this same section of the group to see how they work and see if maybe that would be something you'd like to participate in. And certainly feel free to ask questions.

To have your book added to this list you must first read and review a book that's currently on the list. Complete directions are in message 1 of this thread.

(For reference, to add a book cover to a post, you can use the "add book/author" link that's above the comment box in which you type your post.)

thank you for your time. As I said I would love to read from the list but the genres are not my cup of tea, no disrespect intended, so I'll have to wait for a fiction novel.

Perhaps a review round or chain might interest you. You can read how they work in other discussions in this section.

Lynn Helton I've just learned that Celyn deleted her review for chain 4 and also the review she did here to get her book on this list, so Ann is owed two reviews here.

Ann, as you already have a book listed here, I've adding two credits to that book (bringing it to x4 currently).

-Lynn

(Because Celyn has removed herself from this group, her book has been removed from this list.)

E.K. Frances Hi Lynn,

I've read #4 Bye-Bye Magpie, GR link is below; AMZ to follow.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Probably should have checked before I bought it, but is it OK I read that one and not the one listed at #4? I am reading the book listed at #4 too but haven't finished yet.

Please can I post my book, The Hybrid, link below, with comment "or the next book in the series" (they have to be read in order.) It's Dark Fantasy / YA/NA.

Thanks!

Thank you, Marco, however those links don't go to your review. The links we're after go directly to your review of the book.
From FAQs for the Review Section
How do I find my Amazon review so I can post the link to it?
On the book page on Amazon, under the title, it shows the stars and the number of ratings. Click on that ratings link to jump to the “Customer reviews” section. Find your review there and click on its title to go to the individual review page. Then just copy the URL (up to but NOT including “ref” or anything after it) and paste that URL into your comment in the review round or chain you're in.

How do I find my Goodreads review so I can post the link to it?
Go to your Goodreads profile page and scroll down in your feed. Look in the "Recent Updates" section for the review you want. Hover over "see review" for that book/review and right click. That will let you copy the link address (URL). Then just paste that URL into a comment in the review round or chain you're in and be sure to remove the "?" and everything after it before you click the "Post" button to post your comment.
I was able to locate the reviews and here are the direct links.
Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-re...
In the future, please make sure you're posting a direct link to your review(s). Thanks!

I've added your book to the list.

I enjoyed reading this book. Tattered Edges is the story of a girl who transitions into a man. Along the way, there are many trials and tribulations.
