I'd been contemplating reading this but I didn't get far with The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels because of the too-farcical plot, and it sounds like I would have the same problems with this one.

I'm so sick of people comparing every prickly character who struggles with social cues to Emily Wilde. So far I haven't enjoyed a single one that's been compared that way.

I got so annoyed by both the humor and the character especially because of the constant comparison between this book and Emily Wilde, so I really went in with expectations that were very much dashed! 😢
