ARC Reviewers Wanted — PROUD TO SERVE | Firsthand 9/11, Iraq & Military Leadership > Likes and Comments

As the 25th anniversary of September 11 approaches, I've been thinking about the first responders, military members, and the families behind the events we remember. Brian Coughlin captured that part of Proud to Serve particularly well in his endorsement of the book:
“From the smoke-filled corridors of the Pentagon on 9/11 to the challenges of wartime Iraq, Shawn Walsh reminds us that the true heartbeat of a fighting force is not only logistics and leadership, but also the soldiers and families who bear the burden of service long after the headlines fade.” — Brian Coughlin, award-winning producer, writer, and director of military history and nonfiction films for National Geographic, Discovery, and History Channel
That is an important part of why I wrote Proud to Serve.
I’d be honored if you read it ahead of its 9-11 release.
