Stellar review Alessandra!
Excellent review. I’m right there with you. I just finished a book that was going great until an unbelievable ending. Why don’t authors know to leave well enough alone?

Thank you very much, Jayme! It’s something that happens more often than we’d like

This is the thing that I can't understand!!!
Thank you very much, Liz!
A compelling review, Alessandra. And also sounds relevant with esp. with the legalization of these drugs.

This is incredibly well-written, especially your last column! You wrote about addiction in a very beautiful and sensitive way. I especially liked this: “Above all, she makes clear the impact it has on family and friends: this problem devastates not only those who suffer from it, but also the people in their circle.” 🩷

Thank you very much, Tindra! I work with family members of addicted, they are in terrible pain and their suffering is largely hidden...
I'd be interested in learning about the inner workings of a writer's craft. Addiction...such a tough situation. Great review Alessandra.

Thank you very much, Tracy!🎈
I, too, lean towards wanting reality over magical resolutions. Getting to see how things "might" work in real life is a bonus to me. Lovely review, Alessandra! 🩷

This sounds interesting. I love a bit of magic, but not when it provides the solution. That's cheating!
