Krysta ꕤ @Maeghan - girl i might have to come complain to you about this 🫩

message 10: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Isabelle - fun was not had 🥲

line (busy working) omg the fact that the main character being incompetent was only a little problem compared to the rest speaks volumesss 💀

message 12: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Ivy - thanks love 💗

message 13: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Rihanna - thank you, I hope so too 😭

message 14: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Line - there were so many different issues to choose from but she was not helping matters 🤡😭

Brooke 𝜗𝜚 I have an arc for this too, but I’m not too thrilled to read it now lmao I keep seeing so many mixed reviews.

message 16: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Brooke - maybe you’ll enjoy it 😩 I just didnt care about the characters, so it made me even more bored lol

message 17: by Mateo (new)

Mateo You are my people!!! I just did my review on this and said almost the same thing!!!! I was shocked to see how many people loved it.

I'm only whatever you make me This exactly

message 19: by KT (new)

KT BUG This is the only review I've found to be spot on. The rest seen to be people pleasing because they got early releases. This felt honest. And I totally agree with you.

message 20: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Mateo - great minds think alike 🤝 i really thought id enjoy it more but that just wasn’t the case

message 21: by len ❀ (new)

len ❀ oh how disappointing. i’m actually about to start we used to live here because i was kinda curious about this one 🫣 we’ll see how that one goes and then i’ll go from there lol. hope your next read is much better!

message 22: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @KT - some people were able to get a creepy/atmospheric read from this, but I was bored out of my mind. glad to know you felt similarly

message 23: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Len - we used to live here was so good! curious to see your thoughts about both books 👀 & thank you! 💜

message 24: by Lala Moon (new)

Lala Moon I agree. This disappointed me so much. What the hell was the point of this? No resolution at the end nor answers to character’s background. Pointless read and slack.

Christine Cobb-Kakalecik I agree with you and my review matches this. I just don’t love it at all. I loved the beginning but then it just lost me and dragged on too long. I wasn’t excited to pick it back up after I put it down which is never a good sign. Just meh for me.

message 26: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Besi - the author seems to like open endings, but I could not stand the way this book went in circles. I didn’t like the characters either lol

message 27: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Christine - I think the premise tricked me into thinking this would be more entertaining than it was. I’m surprised I even finished it tbh 😭

message 28: by Beryl (new)

Beryl This book was so childish and poorly written. Don’t understand the glowing reviews.

message 29: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Beryl - it was a waste of time for sure 😴

message 30: by Faerie (new)

Faerie I'm sorry this one didn't deliver, lovely! I hope your next read is tons better! ♡❀♡

message 31: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Faerie - thanks boo 💖

message 32: by Perry (new)

Perry Kliewer has never provided answers in any of his books or his reddit short fiction. I have no idea why A) people suddenly expect him to and B) why they only realize it now

message 33: by Chi-Chi (new)

Chi-Chi Oh lord. "Why the hell is this even happening in the first place" was my biggest problem with We Used To Live Here. That and walking away with too many unanswered questions.

message 34: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette DeSantis The author must have thought her ending was clever. It was not clever at all. It was poorly written.

message 35: by Krysta ꕤ (last edited May 12, 2026 01:34AM) (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Perry - the author can do whatever he wants, doesn’t mean I’m gonna like it & if I don’t.. ima say that. its called HAVING AN OPINION, since you seem to be unaware of the concept

message 36: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Chi-chi - open ended stories are harder to get right, but it worked better for me in WUTLH than it did with this book 😅

message 37: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Jeanette - it wasn’t executed well, really just got on my nerves lol

message 38: by Allison (new)

Allison YES! Love this review! 100%

message 39: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Allison - thank you! 💟

message 40: by K (new)

K It was SO BORING! Thank you, I was so dissapointed by this book. The end was fun but short lived and also the other novel didn't tie into it as much as I would have liked.

message 41: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @K - almost put me to sleep 🥱 i didn’t even know they were supposed to connect? i just expected more I think lol

message 42: by Liana (new)

Liana Gold Ugh this book was a clusterfuck of a headache. And boring. Macy was bleak. Poor representation of mental health issues.

message 43: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Liana - it was torture being in her perspective 😒

message 44: by Jenn (new)

Jenn Lewis Colarossi Fully agree! I keep thinking “omg her brain is exhausting!” and “holy crap they could not have given this job to a worse person”. I alternated between being bored and being so frustrated.

message 45: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Jenn - yessss my exact thoughts!!

message 46: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Completely agree with you! And we never find out who the hell people calling her are or where they are . Ugh I hate being left with so many questions

message 47: by Mcgoo4 (new)

Mcgoo4 I didn’t understand much about this book and the ending sucked. I’m not big on open-ended books, movies, tv shows, etc. and this book was is no exception. I found myself going back over parts of it time and time again, trying to figure out what the heck was going on. The book was a whole lot of busy that went nowhere.

message 48: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Lyndsey - i know, it was all so random but done in the sloppiest way. I was over it by that point so I didn’t even care 😂

message 49: by Krysta ꕤ (new)

Krysta ꕤ @Mcgoo4 - i don’t love open ended media either, but sometimes they can get away with it if the rest of the story has enough going for it. here, it felt like talking in circles with no point in sight 😒

Michelle (Pink Polka Dot Books) I love open-ended endings if there’s a story beforehand. I didn’t find one here….
