Welcome Nate!

I never imagined that books would one day become such an important part of my life. Growing up, reading felt like homework, not something I truly enjoyed. But during some of the darkest moments of my life, stories gave me a place to escape, heal, and dream again. They added color to a world that had lost it. No social media platform has ever given me what books have.

Emily Grey Hello, my name is Emily from Latvia, my son struggled a lot since my divorce, and in books he found salvation, especially in one particular book about The Blackskulls, it made us close, and gave him courage to be who he is. Couldn't be more proud of him.

Henry Farrow Hi I am Henry, after a terrible bike accident I got into a wheelchair for 4 months and in a bed for a year. Friends deserted, family deserted, but books did not, I can no longer sleep until I read at least 10 pages.

Brad Secrest Hi everyone! I'm Brad. I've struggled with depression and low self-esteem my whole life. Things aren't always so depressing though and that includes "most" books, because some books are depressing. There is, however a huge number of books to lift me and others up and if they don't lift, maybe they're just for fun. I love a good yarn and if you do as well, let's be friends. Anyone read a good book lately?

I love reading just before sleeping as well. It's so nice to get out of my head and put myself into another person's story just before I conk out. LOL. Nice to meet you Henry. I'm Brad

Hey Nate! I'm Brad. I get so much out of browsing a good bookstore and finding a new story to take home with me. Nice to meet you!

Hi Emily! My name is Brad. I loved reading as a kid. I was always so shy to meet new people and since my dad's job moved us around a lot, books became my go-to "friend" no matter where we ended up. Nice to meet you!

Dear Brad,

Thank you for joining us. It is truly a pleasure to have you on board.

We live in a world where it is becoming increasingly rare for someone to extend a genuinely helping hand. Sometimes, people may even push you further down just to see you sink. I have experienced this personally, and it has taught me to value even more those who choose to support, encourage, and lift others up.

For me, books have always been a refuge. Within their pages, I have found countless worlds in which I can happily lose myself, and perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts they can give us.

I’m very happy to have you with us, and I look forward to the journey ahead.

I had the same experience for years, I know how it feels and how hard it is to keep your head and esteem high, but WE can and WE WILL.

Right now, I’m reading The Shadow of the Gods. Before that, I read The Fives’ Oath: Legacy of the Bloodborn. Both have been great escapes into worlds I can completely lose myself in.

W.G. Docent Hi everyone, I'm W.G. Docent (pen name) — I just joined. I'm a new author, I just wrote my first adult fable, Silas and the Wizard, about a man whose imaginary friend (a Wizard) never left and they have to grieve together. I've had my fair share of depression, anxiety, trauma, which are topics in the book I wrote. I am a mental health advocate and this is my first attempt to be an active advocate. I would love to hear some of your stories.

Savanah Freeman Hi everyone! 🤍

I’m so glad to find this community. I’m Savanah, a Clinical Methodologist and co-founder of a clinical practice my husband (a licensed social worker) and I have run for the past eight years.

I’m reaching out today because my transnational memoir, I Know Why The Butterfly Cries, officially released today! It explores somatic recovery, surviving systemic trauma, and building a diagnostic lexicon for psychological liberation. Books have always been my safest anchor during heavy seasons, so the name of this group resonated deeply with me.

To celebrate launch day, I’d love to offer free digital copies (ePUB/Kindle ARCs) to anyone in this space who feels drawn to stories about trauma, somatic healing, and recovery. No pressure to leave a review unless you genuinely want to—I mostly want to share these advance copies with readers who might find comfort, validation, or language for their own healing journey in them.

Looking forward to being part of the discussions here!
