I loved how you started this review.
I have such a vivid memory of a little interview I saw of the poet Robert Frost who was accused of writing a "foreboding" (or similar word) poem, since it mentioned a raven in the poem, and ravens are symbols of foreboding. He strongly stated that he had NO thought of foreboding in writing that poem.

What a wonderful example! Texts are always tricky. Sometimes it's better not to ask the author what they actually meant — just to avoid disappointment! 😄
