I would like to introduce The Burning Desire: The True Stories of Australia's Deadliest Serial Arsonists by me, Geoff Plunkett.

I spent years researching two Australian serial arsonists. Here's something about the cases that surprised me.

Serial arsonists are diverse in their criminality. They don't just do arson. This is how the original arson investigators put Gregory Brown back into jail for a sex crime 30 years after he lit the fatal Downunder hotel.

There's little interest in them compared with other killers, yet they devastate in cost and lives lost. Although the fire is spectacular, the perpetrator can remain strangely invisible. That should not be the case.
