There is something about the way you have woven together narrative, verse, and song, drawing inspiration from the Odyssey, William Blake, Rumi, and Charles Kingsley, that feels particularly distinctive, and it made me want to look beyond the book itself and understand how far it has travelled so far. The hybrid form of storytelling, the associative wordplay, and the timeless themes of courage, sacrifice, and homecoming make this a work that transcends the boundaries of age and will appeal to both children and adults.
