Boston Surge right winger, Tessa Blais is a beast on ice, and a sweetheart off ice, and is in desperate need for something to entertain her on long bus rides between games.

Hope ‘Dotty’ Dotson, yarn store owner and fibre art enthusiast, saves the day and teaches Tessa about crocheting. The more they work together, the more she starts to fall for her.

Dotty gives Tessa a sweater. One that she knit.
One that seemingly causes a lot of misfortune for Tessa every time she wears it.

There’s so many unfortunate coincidences that Tessa’s gotten to the point where she may have to break up with Dotty so she doesn’t offend her by not wearing the beautiful sweater she made because a curse is certainly not a believable excuse.

Whatever will she do?
