If this is old news and I am simply behind the times, I apologize but I haven't seen anything here. Apparently, at the end of April, CJ Cherryh put out a note saying that, due to health issues, she was retiring from writing and would have no further books. If this is so, this will leave a void in the SF universe. CJ Cherryh has been a top-notch SF writer for half a century, and I have been reading her work for just about that long. She created not only many wonderful stories, but multiple universes filled with stories. If I have the news wrong, please let me know.

She is one of my favorite authors. She deserves to retire if that is what she needs. We have so many wonderful stories and universes from her.

Thanks, CBR! It worked this time (it doesn’t like that I’m not in the US, so I have to employ shenanigans), so I got The Who shebang! I’ve read a number of her books but actually only a small fraction. I’ve been anting to read the Foreigner series, everyone raves about it, but I’m intimidated by the number of books!!

that's the series that I don't have any books from either. The Complete Morgaine is pretty good as are the Chanur and Faded Sun series

I bounced off of the Pride of Chanur, for inexplicable reasons. This was back in the early 90s, so I figure it’s time to try again. But man, now I have soooo many books to add to my TBR, which is hopeless. I could almost hope for the apocalypse, which would mean the end of new books. Just have to make sure I have a crank batter to power my iPad and get all the books downloaded before everything goes offline.

I have read many of her books, actually only read the first three of the Foreigner series and stopped. I could not handle the main character any longer. I do LOVE the Book of Morgaine and cannot say how many times I have read the series. It holds a special place in my heart. Also love the Faded Sun, need to revisit it and The Chanur series is so good. I have most of her books, my mom has others I don't. I decided to get this, simply because I love her books.

it took me the second time for the first Chanur book to grab hold. I think at first, it was because the male human character was so weak and so definitely not the hero, that put me off it. Once I got into the main female, non human characters that I began to love it

I was hoping for many years for another Morgaine and had pretty much given up. (There was such a change in the relationship between Vanye and Morgaine in the 9 years between Fires of Azeroth and Exile's Gate, I would also have liked to see if it shifted further.) Now, I guess that's final. Also, I was looking forward to another book to follow Alliance Unbound and see if it dealt with the origins of Mazian's Fleet and showed how Alliance Unbound and Alliance Rising fit in the existing series timeline.

One positive: looking at the lists posted here and going through the books I have, I noticed that I am missing Merchanter's Luck. Going to get that and put it right on top of the TBR.

I am not an ebook fan, but I did get the Humble Bundle. Simply because I love her.
Maybe I should revisit Mr. Brinn. God he is horrible. :)

One of my favorite sci-fi aouthors. I read most of the company war books. I loved Rimrunners and Downbelow Station. Thanks for this link. There are quite a few books that I would love to read on that list.
