Daniel Laz Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a few honest ARC readers for my debut slow-burn forensic crime novel, VOSS: Scene Documentation: Budapest.

About the book

Francesca “Frankie” Voss is a forensic specialist who approaches every investigation through evidence, observation, and meticulous documentation. When questions begin to surface around a case she signed off on years earlier, she is forced to reconsider not only the evidence, but the reliability of the official record itself.

This is not a fast-paced crime thriller. It is a deliberate, atmospheric forensic novel where the tension comes from reconstruction, small details, professional responsibility, and the gradual unfolding of the investigation.

If you enjoy slow-burn mysteries, forensic detail, atmospheric crime fiction, layered investigations, and psychological suspense, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Book details

Slow-burn forensic crime novel
Mystery / psychological suspense
Approximately 300 pages
EPUB format

I’m looking for honest reviews. Positive or critical feedback is equally appreciated. If you enjoy the book, I’d be grateful for a Goodreads review and, after release, an Amazon review as well.

If you’re interested, please leave a comment or send me a private message, and I’ll happily send you a copy.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy Frankie’s investigation.

— Daniel Laz

Daniel Laz Review readers wanted for the revised Frankie Voss Series

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently completed a full revision of all five novels in the Frankie Voss Series, and the updated editions are now available on Amazon.

I’m offering complimentary EPUB or PDF review copies to readers who enjoy:

— slow-burn crime fiction
— forensic and documentary detail
— psychological suspense
— international settings
— cold cases and unreliable official records

The series follows forensic consultant Francesca “Frankie” Voss through five investigations:

Budapest
Tokyo
Istanbul
New York
Saint Petersburg

Each novel contains a complete investigation, while a larger mystery develops across the five books.

Readers may request the first novel, choose a particular city, or read the complete series. There is no requirement to read all five.

I’m looking for honest reviews only—positive or negative. There is no expectation of a favourable rating.

If the series sounds like a good fit for you, please leave a comment or send me a private message, and I’ll be happy to send you a copy.

Thank you,

Daniel Laz

Patrice Gouin Hi Daniel,

Are you still looking for readers? This sounds right about my sorry. I haven't read a psychological thriller in my last several books. And international crime is my thing.

If you still need readers, please send me a friend request so we can DM one another.

I wish you the best.

Daniel Laz Hi Patrice,

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, I’m still looking for readers, and I’m glad the book sounds like something you might enjoy.

I tried to send you a friend request, but I wasn’t able to get past the challenge question on your profile. If you’d like, feel free to send me a request instead, and we can continue by DM.

Thanks again for your interest, and I’d be very happy to send you a review copy.

Best,
Daniel

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your kind message and for your interest in the book. I’m still sending out review copies and would be very happy to send one to you.

I’ll email you at hallsteven@gmail.com with the details. There’s no expectation of a positive review — an honest review on Goodreads and/or Amazon is very much appreciated.

Just one note before you start: VOSS is a slow-burn forensic novel, rather than a fast-paced crime thriller. The tension comes from evidence, observation, reconstruction, and the gradual unfolding of the investigation, rather than constant action or chase scenes.

I mention this simply so you know what kind of reading experience to expect.

Thanks again for your interest and support.

Best,
Daniel

Patrice Gouin Daniel,

I completely forgot about that challenge question and don't remember what my purpose was in setting it up.

Please try again. I'm not seeing an option to send you a friend request, only to follow.

Since you're obviously able to request me as a friend, I would really appreciate it. This series really does sound like something that I would ignore all my responsibilities to read 😂

Hi Patrice,

No problem at all — I’ll try sending the friend request again.

And thank you, that made me laugh 😂 I hope the series proves distracting enough to live up to that promise.

I’d be very happy to send you a review copy once we’re connected. To do so, please let me know your email address. Thanks.
