Curious what people here think about this kind of premise.If you knew humanity was going to be reset and you could save only 30 people, how would you choose them?
Family first? People with useful skills? A mix of ages and backgrounds? Or something completely different?
Congratulations on your first novel! And the subject is always intriguing. Max Teglmark wrote a philosophical book Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence that also reflects on the subject of the future of mankind.
I guess the earth probably would be better off without us, but that is a very cynical point of view - so let's cheer for all the wonderful traits of humainty - art, music and creativity.
