Sounds like something I might have to pick up at some point. I'd like to get into more fantasy. It's a genre I rarely pick up. And I enjoy reading an unreliable narrator.
Honestly it might be right up your alley in a weird way ... it's not as overt as Bone Spurs (I don't know what is though, and you pulled it off the way few could) but the political undercurrent isn't exactly subtext either. The fantasy element is very atypical and refreshing, definitely an interesting read!
BTW, I really wanted to thank you for that. But I know that authors are supposed to stay out of that stuff. I try to follow the rules lol!
"I try to follow the rules" Honestly to hell with the rules lol and there's no need to thank me, writing that review was a privilege not a favor. I ordered a few hard copies of your book and gave them to friends, I don't know if I've ever had a novelette ever give me as many audible reactions as Bone Spurs. It's actually unreal - your writing is a masterclass in sharp satire disguised as wanton absurdity. Legendary work.
Oh wow! Thanks so much! I hope you check out Alma Mendoza sometime. I think that's actually my personal favorite out of my three books. Alma herself is most definitely my favorite creation. I love that little psychopath! As for Bone Spurs, I'm beyond disgusted and fed up with the state of the U.S. I slammed that out as a sort of fuck you to all those clowns. I'd like to write a full length satirical novel, maybe around Jan. 6th. I have some very strong thoughts on that. I hope your friends enjoy Bumble!
