Oh dear, that's not good.
It was so disturbing and bizarre. I enjoy some “dark” books with trigger warnings but this book was the “darkest” I have ever read. Ironically, though, I didn’t want to DNF it bc I wanted to see how the book ended. And it definitely didn’t have the ending I thought it would.
Yes, I agree, I enjoy dark books as well. Hmmm. I might have to pass on this one. Most of the books I write have a dark edge to them, but not super dark, except Black Soul Rising. I was told that is quite disturbing and I'll agree. It's the only really dark book I've ever written and it was the first book I ever wrote, so there was a learning curve there. Since then, most of my books don't go that dark. Thanks for sharing.
