Angel Orengo Dear Iulia,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We completely understand that not every book connects with every reader.

The repetition around awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, intention, and the other lessons was intentional. We believe, and it has certainly been our experience, that we often need to hear something, say it, act on it, and repeat it many times before it truly becomes part of us and we begin to experience its benefits.

As for THE ORCHID itself, yes, there is a little bit of wishful thinking on our part. There are places around the world that come close to what we imagined, though admittedly they are often financially inaccessible to many people. That is one of the reasons why, in our novel, THE ORCHID is free of charge.

So yes, the setting is fictional by design. It was meant to feel like a place removed from everyday life, where the women, and really anyone, could step away from their routines, leave their distractions behind, see themselves and their lives differently, and learn tools to live a more fulfilled life.

We appreciate your perspective and thank you for giving THE ORCHID a chance.
