Gosh - the lines you quote in your review are great examples of how not to write - I think these extracts are some of the worse writing I have ever read, and I used to teach creative writing. I came here having watched the new Netflix series on Lizzie and having read the sample of this novel on Amazon. I couldn’t believe how badly written the first few pages of the sample were - and this novel was up for a prize? The literary world has gone mad.
