HOOD RICH: THE HALF DEMON — Book One of the Excruciating Universe Dark urban fantasy novella, ~31,000 words. Releases October 31, 2026.
After you are murdered you find you can't die, but seeking revenge can still cost you your soul.
Richard "Hood Rich" Horton is the best dealer in Brooklyn — until three teenagers put a bullet through his eye days after his eighteenth birthday, and he wakes up falling into Hell. There he learns the father he was told died in an accident is a demon, his grandfather is a Demon King, and they're sending him back.
Someone in Brooklyn paid for the hit, and Hood intends to find out who. But every half demon he meets gives him the same warning: take your revenge, and you lose your soul.
Content warnings: sexual assault, the murder of minors, drug use and addiction, graphic violence, racial and misogynistic slurs. Heavy book — if that's a no, it's a no, and no hard feelings.
How to get it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... EPUB, MOBI, PDF Feedback: reviews are welcome but not required. Goodreads now, Amazon on release day if you're inclined. Honest reactions are worth more to me than kind ones this is my first ARC after years of querying for this particular book and I'd rather know what actually lands.
