Thanks for sharing this. Could you please answer a question about this series? Are the books in this series stand alone books or do they end in cliffhangers you need to buy the next book in the series for closure? Are all your various series the same in this regard?

Hi Debbie! While each book has its own case and resolution, the series as a whole has an arc to it as well, as the characters follow their journey. They don't end in cliffhangers, but there's a cumulative nature to the story as each character grows and changes.
Additionally, every fifth book is a sort of "season finale" which resolves a more serious threat or recurring adversary.
My other main series, the Erin O'Reilly Mysteries, follows the same pattern. You'll definitely get more from the stories by reading them in order, especially the later ones, though I've tried hard in each case to make the first three or four easily accessible, with no prior knowledge of the characters or story necessary.
