I'm sorry this book was a miss for you! I wanted to clarify that my personal decision of whether to have kids or not in the future (which remains a private one) was not the point of the final chapter of my book. Instead, it was about de-tethering my sense of self-worth and value from motherhood, which societal forces had reinforced. Every journey is a deeply personal one, and my own experience was in no way framed as "advice", nor was the moral of the story anything other than commentary about an unexpected identity shift. (And I do and did not think of my book as a "flex"...my goal was just to help people who found resonance in the various stories) Wishing you the best, M
