You'll have to explain it to Support again, sorry. I would write back to the last email you got from them and let them know they misunderstood the first email you wrote. It might help to include an image of where Amazon shows your cancellation, if it keeps a history.

I am like it was never published... That's why when I found this thread I was like OMG maybe they can do it.

Hi! I'm hoping a Superlibrarian can help me correct a book record that originated from a canceled Amazon preorder.
In 2022, I created a preorder for Snow White:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
I canceled that preorder before publication because the manuscript was not ready. The book was never released or published in any format under that ASIN. I have the KDP record showing that the preorder was canceled and can provide it if needed.
Two Goodreads ratings were later added to that record in 2025.
I have now written and am publishing Snow White and the Two Wolves, scheduled for November 10, 2026:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Goodreads has combined the canceled 2022 preorder with the forthcoming 2026 book, so the ratings attached to the canceled preorder are now being aggregated onto the 2026 book.
Goodreads Support has declined to delete the old record based on its policy of retaining published and out-of-print books. However, that appears to be the source of the misunderstanding: the 2022 preorder was canceled before release and was never published.
Could a Superlibrarian please determine whether the canceled 2022 record should be deleted/invalidated, or whether it should be separated from the 2026 work so that it is not treated as an edition of the forthcoming book?
Thank you!
