If I find one that's more than a 4 star I'll let you know 😂 otherwise I'm following this cause I need some more recs lol
All the books by Ames Mills. She has some amazing books, the theme is medium dark and suspense with a bunch of men. Also Wrecked Decked and Pucked but its not dark at all.
Wrecked Decked and Pucked by Lea Rose, the men just knew how to support eachother and they showed eachother so much love the way they need to receive it.The Ames Mills books, I love the thrill and how they all have Darkness in them and they also dont discriminate between thin or thick, the way they worship the women, the level of obsession, the way they give her everything that she needs. They are absolutely great. My favorite books.
Elle Thorpe also has some amazing books with great plot twists. I've read 2 of her series(couple = 3 books) and they were also great. Definitely a must read.
My all time favorite Why Choose is Losers by Harley Laroux. This was one of my first in this genre and I loved all of the characters. The raw emotions, the history of all the characters, the struggles that they had endured and had to keep enduring during their lives was told in a way that broke my heart. I keep looking for another series like this one.
Okay… I have an update. I’m currently reading The Brutes of Bristlebrook and…YES. JUST YES!
I’m not even that far in yet, but already I’m sitting here thinking: why is there not that much fuzz about these books?
The chemistry? GOD!
The men? Holy mother of Jesus
The whole dynamic? Sign me up!
Yeah. This might actually be the one that finally scratches that Dance with my Demons itch I’ve been chasing.
So whoever recommended Bristlebrook to me… I owe you one. 😂
And now I’m even more curious: does it keep getting better?! Because if the answer is yes, I might be in serious trouble.

If you loved the Dance with my Demons series, you could try The Fallen Ones by K G Reuss.
Not quite the same high of Dance with my Demons - I was obsessed with that series too. But it was still 5 star for me.
Lucy Rivers, Joe Arden, Jacob Morgan and Corvin King narrate it.
Some people are a bit dark on it because there is some dub-con, but if you are ok with that - the book/audio is awesome.
The banter between the guys was great, the spice was also great.
Its the male best friend, ex boyfriend and ex-stepbrother - who are all obsessed with the FMC.
I really enjoyed it.
Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight for me. It's the rare Why Choose where every single man feels like a whole person instead of just a flavor, and Roxy completely runs the show. The obsession levels are unhinged and I devoured it in one sitting, zero regrets.
I don’t read spice but i love Tessa Hale. 😅I love how they all genuinely fall in love with her. It’s so sweet.
The spice is easy to skip in her books.
The Bonds That Tie series from Jay Bree. God tier, I will never get tired of it. The series starts with Broken Bonds, which is all the FMC’s POV but the other books have POV’s from each of the guys. There is a guys POV book that just came out that is listed as book 7, but it is technically Book 1.5 and should be read either as the second book or tandem with book one for best results. Trust me as someone who’s done this series more than a dozen times do it this way. I actually made a tandem read guide if anyone wants it

Omg, I am kind of new to RH so I’m just following really. But I just finished my first Audiobook series and it was Dance With My Demons! I fkn LOVED IT!
Oh this is a hard one… top spot is tied - Credence by Penelope Douglass (standalone) and Frozen fate by Pam Godwin (series) 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼Then I’d recommend:
Madison Kate (series) by Tate James
Hades (series) by Tate James
Dance with my Demons (series) by Steph Macca
Devils backbone (series) by Tate James
Okay so hear me out on this one..Credence by Penelope Douglas!
I personally haven’t read this book but I know about it and let’s just say there is A LOT to choose from😉
So I think you should give it a go!

I second Credence. I personally really loved this one.
Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight is my pick because the four syndicate men are so different from each other that you never mix them up. The banter between them keeps the chaos fun even when things get brutal.
I have to add another one cause I just finished Sharing Silence by Kayla Kyng and oh my 🥵👌🏻 It’s part of a series but could defs be read as a standalone…
Mrs_Patto wrote: "I have to add another one cause I just finished Sharing Silence by Kayla Kyng and oh my 🥵👌🏻 It’s part of a series but could defs be read as a standalone…"Added to my TBR. But ist a trilogy? Do I need to read the first 2 to have a context?
Just finished The Brutes of Bristlebrook and I’m honestly still not over it. 😭🔥This book had me crying, laughing, shivering and raging, sometimes all in one sitting. It has a real plot, characters you actually care about, and the spice? Chef’s kiss. The BDSM dynamic is so well done, intense but built on trust, and it had me hooked from the first page.
If you love Why Choose with emotional depth AND heat, please pick this one up. I genuinely don’t understand why BookTok isn’t screaming about this book. It deserves so much more hype!
Now I’ve started Blackwood Institute and… I’m really dragging myself through it. 😅 Maybe Bristlebrook just ruined me for anything else right now? Has anyone read it? Does it get better, or should I DNF?
@Michi The Flynn Brothers trilogy are interconnected standalones, so you don't have to read the full series.
I say this, but I always worry I will miss something - because they say that about the LOG series too, and I think it would be a crime to read that out of order...
I've heard such good things about Blackwood Institute! I haven't read it yet though. How far through are you?

Haha, I totally get that worry! I’m the same, I always feel like I’ll miss some little detail or cameo if I don’t read in order. 😅
I finished the first book and I’m about a third into the second one now. There’s definitely something there, there’s tension and it keeps me reading. But I read Dance with My Demons by Steph Mecca, and honestly Blackwood feels a bit like a cheap knock-off of it? Although to be fair, I have no idea which one came out first, so maybe it’s the other way around! 🙈
Still giving it a chance though. I’ll let you know if it wins me over!
@Michi100% relatable. I was chatting with someone (I think it was Karen) about this the other day in relation to Mafia books.
Because I read the Mafia so much (it is my fave), I find I have to read other books in between so it doesn't always feel the 'same' or I compare them too harshly against one another. I never want to get sick of reading mafia so that's how I keep it fresher.
Who wrote it first doesn't even matter, it comes down to which one you read first, right?
I always feel like each book I read has some kind of lasting impression... and the more you read, the higher your standards get and the more you have to compare other books against.
I do think it is especially hard when you finish a series you love.
RIP to the book you read after a Top Tier GREAT read - because it never hits the same high IMO.
Dance with my Demons is an incredible series - I loved it too. Easily my fave 'why choose' to date.
I have heard a lot of people have reading slumps after a good read too.
Thankfully I have never had that happen... and hope I never do.
Definitely let me know if Blackwood wins you over.
From what you said though, I will try The Brutes of Bristlebrook first because I haven't read that series yet... 🤩
Update: I'm almost done with book 2 and okay… I take it back, it's SO worth it! 😳It's gotten really intense and you feel everything right along with the characters. You're pulled so much deeper into the hallucinations, and you really feel the guys' pain and hers. My heart is literally pounding out of my chest right now. 💔
Glad I didn't DNF. Starting book 3 the second I'm done! 🙈
@MichiYay! Thank you for sharing.
I was so hoping this would be the case. Glad you are loving it.
I cant wait to get to this series!

Tell me your absolute favourite Why Choose / Reverse Harem romance and, more importantly, WHY you loved it.
Was it the chemistry? The spice? The men? The relationship between the guys? The FMC? The emotional damage? 😂 Or was it simply a book that completely consumed your brain and refused to let you function normally?
I want the books you’d scream from the rooftops about, not just the ones everyone recommends.
Bonus points if you tell me what makes the harem special and how many MMCs we’re talking about. 👀
My personal favorite is Dance with my Demons series written by author Steph Macca. That audiobook, my god... but i have been searching ever since.
Give me your best recommendation and convince me to add it to my TBR! 🖤📚
