Scam or something I'm missing in the group? > Likes and Comments

Has any other author received an email inviting them to a “6 Month Readers Challenge” associated with this group? I received one today from someone named Malu Silva claiming to be reaching out from the Booktok Goodreads community (this one...that I belong to), saying they’re featuring 31 authors. And I could be one of them if I just respond, etc.

I figured since I already belong to the group in question, I'd ask...Is this actually affiliated with the group/admins? Thanks!

Right? But I didn't want to accuse someone outright without checking my facts first. If it sounds too good to be true....

I thought I was doing my research & it looked legit- the invoice was from K&K holistic which is a vitamin company. Also, it was clearly written using AI.

I tried to see how far they'd go so I could get more details on the scam.

This morning, I got the same pitch from a “Karly.” She must have thought me impatient since she only offered a "4 Month Readers Challenge." Should I hold out for the 6 month version?
