This is my book that should be added to my author profile.

Meisha G
Also is there a way that we can update my name from "Meisha G" to "Meisha G." so we don't run across this issue again?

Ask support to update your name and merge it with the existing profile that has your book.
Librarians can't change your name.

Alternatively we can put everything under Meisha Gladney and you can ask them to switch you to that.

Everything should be put under Meisha G. I'm also contacting support now.
