Sophia Jerry It's wonderful to have you with us, Alberto. If you were advising a young professional at the beginning of their career, what learning habits would you encourage them to develop in their first five years that could create a lasting competitive advantage throughout their lifetime?

James Morcan We're delighted to have you here, Alberto. Many high achievers spend years mastering their profession, yet relatively little time mastering how they learn. Why do you think society places so much emphasis on acquiring knowledge but less emphasis on improving the learning process itself?

message 17: by Travis (new)

Travis Welcome, Alberto, and thank you for joining us today. Your book speaks a lot about preparation as a way to reduce stress and improve outcomes. When did you first realize that learning itself could be treated as a skill that can be trained and improved?

message 18: by Alberto (new)

Alberto Souza If, by the end of our chat, people walk away with the idea that it's possible to prepare ahead of time in an organized way, that alone will be great.

message 19: by Alberto (new)

Alberto Souza I have to admit I can't point to one specific moment... But it grew out of how I see preparation... I've always liked preparing ahead of time for challenges, everything from work to taking care of my kids.

I noticed how much being able to prepare in advance helped me, and how much it hurt the people who chose to learn only when the need came up.

I realized it could be worthwhile to lay out the process I followed.
