I think he's disfigured due to messing with all the chemcicals he's been using during his practices. Maybe he's missing fingers, skin, etc.

Maybe it has something to do with the potion he has created! Maybe it is creating disgusting - oozing - sores all over his hands!!

I have a theory that he's using his own body for something sinister... there's so many things that could happen that it's gonna be a plot twist either way.

I agree with Avery! Something sketchy for sure. I think he’s Frankenstein-ing his own body using fresh body parts from the resurrection men who are going missing.
