I am going to be watching for your review to see what you think about it! I hope it works for you better than it did for me.

Yes, agreed!!! DRY is a great word for this book.
This is why I could care less about raving reviews, especially by the professional critics. However, if my GRs friends like it I might give it a chance if I come across it..
Oh no. It's exactly how I've been feeling but hoped it would get better. I can't believe I fell for the hype... yet again.
Funnily enough, seeing EmHen endorse it, actually almost put me off reading. She’s not for everyone..
Yes thank you!!! My thoughts exactly. I literally only read it because of the Emily Henry endorsement but nothing about it was particularly interesting or romantic. I totally agree with your review.
100% with you!!! It took until middle of the book to get a glimmer of where this was going and we all knew where this was going. Sharp writing. Since when is Emily Henry a critic?? Having her say it’s the book of a lifetime is true though, because you’ll never read it again!!
I have to say I disagree all around. From the beginning the book is honest that this isn't a high action or heavy intrigue sort of book. What you see as repetitive is two people trapped in a cycle of their own morals while deeply trying to find someone who understands them. While I agree it might somewhat long and could have been cut down it is anything but boring. I'll take prose with meaning over forced entertainment any day.
