It's disappointing when someone gives a low rating to a book for such reasons. If you're not a fan of small-town noir, you probably shouldn't read the book. Although I don’t personally relate to serial killer stories, I wouldn’t rate a book about a serial killer poorly just because the protagonist kills people. I value reader reviews, but this one doesn’t seem fair.
