Lel I started this last night and am now about a third of the way through. I'm not sure the writing style for me. I'm not a big fan of 1st person narratives and it is written in a very tongue in cheek humour that I'm not 100% on board with yet.
The premise is interesting although we have already left the dungeon and that has been the main draw of the book for me so far.

Lel I finished and although I liked it, I didnt love it.
I think I wanted the dungeon to be more creepy. The book seemed to swing between it was the most awful place and really creepy but then would make some kind of quip at the situation and that made me come out of the story a little and I didnt love that.
I liked the fact that the narrator was a talking skull but, he really came across like Rincewind, a little tongue in cheek and laughing at himself. I would have liked to it have taken one tone or the other but not both.
I found the same in The Gutter Prayer and therefore I wont likely pick up anything else by this author.

Justin Bello I actually really like this one. Bait’s character was indomitable and unapologetically herself. I also really liked the concept that “normal” is a question of circumstance, not some unbending and universal state.

Shawnie I listened to this and loved the narration, great entertainment for my work commute. 3.5 stars for me. I enjoyed Bait and the concept of the dungeon being the focus. I'm going to round up to 4 stars now that I'm thinking back on it with fondness and laughs in the car.
