Maria E (de Enigma, Espada, Esfinge…) A 3-star read?! It seems the duke’s bargain wasn't such a great deal after all. 😜 I hope your next book will help you forget this one. A 3-star read is definitely not our kind of book, right, my dear Izzie?!
Love from Maria. Miss you 🌻😘

I. Benott Thank you so much for even giving it a go Queen Izzie McFussy! I'm really pleased to of earned the 3 stars on my debut. Feedback and anachronisms taken on board for book 3 :)

Shelley's Book Nook Nicely reviewed, Izzie. 🤗💕

🐝 Shaz 🐝 Nice review Izzie
I might give this a read at some point. I do like a beauty and the beast story.
Author’s definitely need to do their homework, when writing Historical Romance. As historical readers especially the older ones, know their history.
I think they should read some Georgette Heyer 😃
Or books wrote before 2000 😉

Gloria*The Cheeto Bandito* Wonderful review, Izzie, very informative. Have you read this author before and liked her?

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Thank you for your positive energy, my sweet Maria! 💜

Izzie (always behind) McFussy You’re courageous to put your baby out there, I. All the best on your second book. You got this!

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Thank you, Shelley! 💜

Excellent suggestion, Shaz! HR fans read everything in the genre and soak up a lot of knowledge along the way. The first thing I did was jump on the internet to learn peerage rankings. 👑

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Thank you, Gloria! This was I. Benott's first novel. Her second book, a sequel, comes out in December.

MarilynW So a tripod? Fab review, Izzie! 💙

Nancy (post-vacation catch up) A fair and honest review, Izzie! I'm glad this debut was a promising start to the series.

Persephone's Pomegranate Great review for a solid story :)

😂😂😂😂😂

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Thank you, Nancy. Yes, there’s a compelling “found family” element that held my interest.

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Thank you, Persephone P!

Stormy ✿ (stay-at-home tackler of tbr shelf) ✿ Great review, Izzie! And I actually don’t think a 3-star is a bad rating. I would give 3-stars for ‘I didn’t hate it and didn’t love it, but it was cute enough to read once’. And sometimes those are ok! Sounds like it wasn’t too bad for a debut book.

Izzie (always behind) McFussy Exactly! Well said, Stormy! Sure, I might wish for more, but the story didn’t make me want to throw my Kindle across the room. Which reminds me, I need more spackle.

Gloria*The Cheeto Bandito* 😂😂😂😂😂

Irina (trying to catch up) Very good review, Izzie. There's always room for one more Beauty and the Beast novel on my shelf – unless it's significantly anachronistic, however. 😬

Rebecca Merlene I might have to read it. I love any and all B&B retellings.
