I noticed the irony of the disclaimer at the beginning too. Having read 100s of Jane Austen variations at this point, I've seen dozens of authors who go down this path and their writing has such a bland sameness that it falls flat almost immediately. And that's not even mentioning the continuity errors and repetitions.
