I've read all her books too. Every year I buy a hardback for myself as a Christmas gift, and this will be it for this year.

You are going to be in absolute heaven with this one, Diane.

Thanks, Antoinette. I have Canada envy. You'll love this one.

She is a GREAT writer.
Exquisitely reviewed, Betsy. Thank you for introducing me to Mary Lawson and her new book. Your appreciation of this book is palpable.
Really? Mary Lawson has a new book!!! I've read all of them and was devastated when there weren't any more.
Holly and Laysee, thank you! And Julietta, I felt the same way. When I heard there was a new book I was overjoyed. She is not prolific, but her work is worth waiting for. Enjoy it.
A fine tribute to this wonderful writer, Betsy. Like you, I have read and loved all of her novels . A joy to read Lawson.
Terrific review! When you dole out 5 stars, I sit up and listen! Adding immediately! I’ve never read anything by this author. For those interested, just found it as a Read Now on NetGalley!

Oh, have you got a treat coming, Debbie. Mary Lawson is one of the best living authors the world has.
Thank you so much, Betsy for your kind words regarding Mary Lawson's work. She is indeed distinctly Canadian in her style and subject matter. And uncompromisingly small-town. So, coming from a New Yorker, your review counts for much.
As for the political landscape, be assured no one here is frightened by the noise, just sad and disappointed.

Thanks, Jim. And I apologize for my country.
Another good review. Thanks for the update. I;m now in the queue to get it and looking forward to another great read.
