Trip Rica Introduce Yourself!
If you're new here, tell us a little about yourself:

– What kind of nonfiction do you read or write?

– Are you an author, a reader, or both?

– What’s one nonfiction book you recommend to everyone?

Welcome to the group!

Brent Porter Hi everyone! I'm Brent, a first-time author working on a self-help book called Break the Overthinking Loop — it's about catching overthinking early, separating facts from the stories our minds create, and getting back to the present faster. It's heading into ARC/early review stage soon, so I'm excited to find a community like this one. Looking forward to reading and discussing other nonfiction here too!

Omkar Kusre Hi everyone! Thanks for having me here.

I'm both an author and a reader, particularly interested in artificial intelligence, business, professional growth, and how technology is changing the way we work.

I've recently published a two-part series called *The AI-Proof Human*. Part I explores how people can stay valuable and adaptable as AI changes the workplace, while Part II, *The Human Advantage*, looks at the human skills that complement increasingly capable machines.

One nonfiction book I'd recommend is *Thinking, Fast and Slow* by Daniel Kahneman. It offers fascinating insights into how we think and make decisions, which feels especially relevant in a world where AI can provide answers faster than we can evaluate them.

I'm looking forward to discovering other nonfiction books here and learning from everyone's perspectives!

Dillon Wheatley Hi everyone! My name is Dillon Wheatley, and I’m an author of Jaxon’s Journey: A Story of Fear, Faith, Family, and Hope.

My family’s journey with congenital heart disease has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. Through the challenges, fears, and blessings, I’ve learned just how powerful faith, family, and hope can be.

After spending nearly 20 years away from my faith, I’ve found myself finding my way back to God. That journey has inspired me to revisit my original book and rewrite it with a much stronger focus on faith, prayer, and recognizing God’s presence even during our hardest moments.

I’m here to connect with other authors and readers, share experiences, learn from others, and hopefully encourage someone who may be walking through a difficult season of their own.

I believe our stories can make a difference, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me. I look forward to meeting you all and discovering some wonderful books along the way! ❤️🙏

Jose Disotuar Hello everyone, I'm Jose Disotuar. I write introductory nonfiction for adults about personal finance and everyday economics. My Kindle books are My Last Day in Poverty (English) and Mi último día en la pobreza (Spanish).

One practical budgeting question is: What must be paid before the next income arrives? Looking at payment dates alongside amounts can reveal a cash shortfall that a monthly total misses.

I made a short lesson with English narration, English/Spanish text, a worked example, and a checklist:

The page also introduces my books.

I'm interested in what makes financial education easier for beginners to understand. Which concepts would you like nonfiction authors to explain more clearly?

Mangnanyong Hello, I’m Hyeok Lim, the author of After the Provider Role. I write practical philosophy about the decisions hidden inside ordinary relationships.

When earning the most stops being your role in a partnership, what changes—and what does not? The book examines contribution, household responsibility, and shared decision-making without treating income as a claim to authority. A useful distinction is between contributing to a household and controlling it: a change in earnings does not settle who notices the work, takes responsibility for it, or gets a say.

This is an author introduction, not an independent recommendation or a promise of relationship outcomes. If that question fits your interests, start with the Google Play Books sample:
https://play.google.com/store/books/d...
The same page offers the purchase option.

Disclosure: the book’s text and cover were AI-generated, with human direction and revision. This introduction was also AI-generated. It is practical philosophy, not therapy or financial advice.
