That seems pretty scammy to me.
Rather funny to assume that everyone has a gmail address. I've had various e-mail addresses for a long time, but never a gmail address, as it happens.
Most definitely a scammer. Joined this month, hasn't added any books and has been following random people.
Someone phishing for info. Nowadays, people usually protect their email addresses because they can get hit with spam. Or they have one public email and one private one. Not sure what this person is expecting you to tell them. If they searched a little, they could easily find the state you live in. ;) It's listed right on your Wikipedia page. <3
